The student has been identified as Harsimrat Randhawa, who was a student of Mohock College in Hamilton, Ontario. The Hamilton police is investigating the incident on Wednesday.

The Hamilton police said in a statement that it received news of the firing near Upper James and South Bend Road in Hamilton at around 7.30 pm on Wednesday.
