The name of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has also been added to the ISPL i.e. Indian Street Premier League. ISPL announced on Wednesday that Khan would be the owner of its new franchise New Delhi. These league is played with tennis ball and has 10–10 overs matches.
ISPL’s core committee stars Sachin Tendulkar, Asian Cricket Council members Ashish Shelar, Minal Amol Kale and Suraj Samat. The second season of ISPL was quite a hit. He got the love of more than 2.8 crore audiences on TV. In the second season compared to the first season, the TV viewership witnessed an increase of 47 percent.
Now there are two more franchisees in the league. New Delhi has been announced. The formal announcement of the second franchise Ahmedabad may also be made in the coming days and its owner will be a celebrity.
