Mahakumbh 2025 UPDATE: Look at the nectar bath of Basant Panchami, Yogi appeared in the war room from 3 am

On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, the third grand ‘Amrit Snan’ is going on at Triveni Sangam of the holy city of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is monitoring the situation from 3:30 am. A war room was built at his government residence. He is constantly taking updates from the DGP and Home Secretary and was seen giving instructions for the smooth operation of the nectar bath. The Chief Minister reviewed the entire situation regarding the safety and system of the program. He issued strict instructions to the administrative authorities to ensure that there was no inconvenience to the devotees during the Amrit bath and all necessary facilities should be provided to ensure an easy experience for all.

During the last ‘Amrit Snan’ of Mahakumbh, a large number of devotees gathered at the confluence in the early hours of Monday to take a holy bath, who came on the auspicious occasion of ‘Basant Panchami’. The scenes of the Triveni Ghats reflect a huge crowd of devotees gathered for the holy bath, in which the pilgrims are immersed in the holy water of the Sangam.

The Naga Sadhus presented a mesmerized sight while marching to the confluence of holy water during the Amrit bath on Basant Panchami at Mahakumbh Mela, and marching towards the confluence of traditional jewelery. As soon as dawn, the sadhus, including the Nagas wrapped in the ashes of various akharas, started their formal journey towards Triveni Sangam. Officials said by 6 o’clock in the morning, the Akharas had first completed their bath, while the process was running smoothly for other akharas including Juna Akhara, whose Naga is a major attraction of the event. Views revealed that rose petals were paired in the area using a helicopter.

Basant Panchami Holy Bathing Ritual has become important in view of the stampede during the last Amrit bath on Mauni Amavasya (29 January), resulting in at least 30 people killed and 60 others injured.
