Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is keeping an eye on this incident in Mahakumbh. The Prime Minister has discussed relief rescue operations with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the phone thrice in the last two hours.
Mahakumbh is being organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. There has been a stampede amidst the event of Mahakumbh. 10 people have died in this accident while many have been injured. This incident took place before the second Amrit bath on Mauni Amavasya.

More vigilance is being taken in the cover of this incident. The Akhara Parishad had earlier announced that the bath is being canceled, although it has now been announced that the crowd will go for a bath after being splash. Police barricading has been removed to get people out of Sangam area safely. Sadhu saints have also appealed to the people not to go to the banks of Sangam.
It is worth noting that Mahakumbh is being organized in Prayagraj from January 13, in which more than 20 crore devotees have taken a dip in the holy confluence. More than 10 crore devotees are expected to arrive on Mauni Amavasya.
