The Training Ship of the Mexican Navy Kuatemok collided with the historic Brooklin Bridge in New York on Saturday night. In the accident, the ship’s mast was badly damaged and two members of the crew died. In addition, 19 people on the ship were injured. The 150 feet long sailing ship in Spain in Spain crashed while trying to pass under the Kuatemok Brooklyn Bridge.
Immediate search and rescue operations were started after the collision, in which the emergency teams arrived to help the passengers. The video footage showed many people hanging from the ship’s rigging. In the video, the ship’s sails and ropes were seen stuck under the bridge. The audience standing near the South Street Cipport was seen running as soon as he came near the ship.

The investigation of the incident has been started and its reasons are being ascertained. The Mexican Navy has mourned the incident and assured all possible help for the treatment of the injured.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams confirmed that 19 people were injured, out of which four are in critical condition. He said during a press briefing, “All the injuries were on the ship itself.” Emergency personnel have taken the injured to the Brooklin Navy Yard, and the most serious cases have been sent to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.
