neeraj chopra won world athletics continental tour challenge throw javelin 8452 meters

Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won the Olympic medal twice for India, has made a great start to the session by winning a pot invitational track competition in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Neeraj on Wednesday topped the World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger competition by throwing a spear for a distance of 84.52 meters and finished top in the match between 6 players.

Indian star Neeraj was ahead of South Africa’s 25 -year -old Dowy Smt, whose best throw was 82.44 meters. Neeraj’s performance, however, was less than his individual best 89.94 meters, while Smit reached his individual best 83.29 meters. In this competition, only two players Neeraj and Smt distanced 80 meters. Another South African player Duncan Robertson finished third with an attempt of 71.22 meters.
