Baloch people are on the streets in Pakistan occupied Balochistan and it is their national decision that Balochistan is not in Pakistan. The world can no longer live as a mute spectator. The word Balochistan came into the discussion online after Baloch leaders, especially Mir Yar Baloch, declared independence from Pakistan amid increasing tension between India and Pakistan. Baloch rebels requested India to recognize the sovereignty of Balochistan by allowing India to open an embassy in New Delhi and sought support from the United Nations for the establishment of peace. In several posts on platform X, Mir Yar Baloch called upon the Government of India to allow the opening of Baloch embassy in New Delhi and appealed to the United Nations to send the peace army to the region. He also demanded that the Pakistani army go back from Balochistan. The announcement was made on 7 May after Operation Sindoor, India, in which terrorist camps were targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).

We have claimed our freedom and we request India to allow the official office and embassy of Balochistan in Delhi. Mir Yar Baloch also appealed to the international community. We also request the United Nations to call a meeting of all the members of the United Nations to recognize the freedom of the Balochistan Democratic Republic and to support recognition.
He said that all non-seal personnel in the Army, Frontier Corps, Police, Military Intelligence, ISI and civil administration should leave Balochistan immediately. The control of Balochistan will soon be handed over to the new government of the independent Balochistan state and a transitional decisive interim government will soon be announced. Representation of Baloch women in the cabinet is a commitment to our nation.
