Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore has set out on an ambitious journey on Tuesday to realize the dreams of socialist leader Jayaprakash Narayan and bring political and systemic changes in Bihar. During the statewide ‘Bihar Parivartan Yatra’, Prashant Kishore will visit all 243 assembly constituencies in the next 120 days and will communicate directly with the public. He will address two meetings every day and stop for a brief conversation with the villagers on the way.

In Siwan today, Prashant Kishore said that the people of Bihar want change. They want education and employment for their children and want to stop migration. He said that now everyone has understood that development work should be done in Bihar and factory should be set up here. People want to get rid of Lalu (Yadav) and Nitish (Kumar). Incidents of crime are increasing in Bihar as its CM Nitish Kumar is not physically and mentally healthy. The people of Bihar will vote for their children this time.

Connecting his movement with the revolution of Jayaprakash Narayan (JP), he said that the socialist leader had called for a ‘entire revolution’, which has been 50 years. But people who claim to follow their ideals have failed to follow their ideals despite ruling the stage for the last 35 years. Bihar is still the poorest and backward state in the country, as was in 1975. He said, “After 50 years, people have got another chance to change the system, get rid of the plight and do not suffer any more trouble. If the people of Bihar missed the opportunity, they will have to face the same difficulties the next five years as well. It is a decisive time of change.”
