Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Odisha Parv Celebration 2024’ program organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. During this he visited the handicraft exhibition of Odisha. Addressing the program, PM Modi said, ‘I congratulate all of you and all the people of Odisha on the occasion of ‘Odisha Parv’. This year is also the centenary of the death anniversary of ‘nature poet’ Gangadhar Mehar. On this occasion, I remember his virtues and pay tribute to him.
The PM said, ‘From the past till today, how capable leadership Odisha has given to the country is also in front of us. Today, Odisha’s daughter Shrimati Draupadi Murmu ji is the President of India. This is a matter of great pride for all of us. Today, due to his inspiration, schemes worth thousands of crores of rupees have been started in India for tribal welfare. These schemes are not only benefiting the tribals of Odisha but of the entire country.

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘The continuous efforts going on for 10 years to take Odisha to new heights are becoming the hope of a new future for Odisha. The unprecedented blessings of the people of Odisha in 2024 have given new courage to this hope. He said, ‘Today the works of connectivity, health and education have been expedited across Eastern India. Today Odisha is getting three times more budget than what the Central Government gave to Odisha 10 years ago. This year, 30 percent more budget has been given for the development of Odisha as compared to last year. We are working rapidly in every sector for the development of Odisha.
Modi said, ‘Our government is committed to promoting ease of doing business in Odisha. Investment is being increased through Utkarsh, Utkal. As soon as the new government is formed in Odisha, investment worth Rs 45 thousand crore has been approved within the first 100 days. Today Odisha has its own vision and road map.
PM Modi said, ‘In today’s modern era, we have to assimilate modern changes and also strengthen our roots. Odisha festival can become a medium for this. He said, ‘Today, along with Odisha, there is a government in the country too, which respects the heritage of Odisha and its identity. During the G20 conference held in India last year, we had presented the grand picture of the Sun Temple in front of so many heads of state and diplomats.
