Kuwait is an important trading partner of India. It is the sixth largest supplier of crude oil. Meets 3 percent of India’s energy requirements. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the multi-faceted relations between India and Kuwait on the occasion. He wrote, “The multifaceted relations between India and Kuwait are based on history, culture and mutual respect. Our strong ties span energy, trade and investment. We also have a vibrant Indian diaspora which is further strengthening the friendship. “
