Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bhagalpur in Bihar on 24 February. During his visit, he will release the 19th installment of the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme and address a public meeting. The event will be held at the airport ground, in which more than five lakh people are expected to gather, including farmers from Bhagalpur and surrounding 13 districts. A high -level meeting of leaders and officials of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at Bhagalpur Town Hall to prepare for the yatra. In a meeting chaired by BJP state president and Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, organization general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania, former Deputy Chief Minister Tarakishore Prasad, Bihar Minister Santosh Singh, Janak Ram and Surendra Mehta as well as state general secretary Members of Mithilesh Tiwari, Lalan Mandal and Core Committee of 13 districts attended. After the Delhi elections, the BJP has now started focusing on Bihar. Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar later this year.
This will be the first visit of PM Modi in the new year. Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Dr. Jaiswal emphasized the commitment of the NDA government for the welfare of farmers. He said that Prime Minister Modi has always given priority to the interests of farmers. His visit to Bhagalpur will not only symbolize the release of the 19th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, but will also strengthen the government’s dedication to improve the prosperity and income of the farmers.
