Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held extensive talks with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. During their discussion, both the leaders focused on promoting relations in information technology, pharmaceutical, fintech, infrastructure and security sectors.
PM Modi shared some pictures during this period on his social media handle ‘X’. PM Modi wrote, ‘Great meeting with His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah. We discussed cooperation in key areas like pharmaceuticals, information technology, fintech, infrastructure and security.
He further wrote, ‘In line with the close ties between our countries, we have elevated our partnership to the strategic level and I am optimistic that our friendship will grow even further in the times to come.’

PM Modi arrived in Kuwait on Saturday on a two-day visit, the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Gulf country in 43 years. On Sunday, he was awarded Kuwait’s highest honor ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’. Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had honored Prime Minister Modi with this honour.
