Taking strict action on the incidents of mobile phone usage by criminals in the jail premises, regular and surprise search operations should be conducted by the police and magistrates in all the jails of the state.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Thursday that the state government is working with full commitment to strengthen law and order in the state.
He said that to make all the jails of the state strong and modern, all necessary resources are being provided to the jail department as per the need. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was presiding over the review meeting of the Home Department on Thursday.
The meeting was held after the miscreants lodged in Jaipur Central Jail threatened to kill Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa. Police has detained three people in this case.
Sharma directed the higher officials of the jail department to conduct strict action on the incidents of mobile phones by criminals in the jail premises and conduct regular and surprise search operations by the police and magistrates in all the jails of the state. He said that strict action should be taken against the employees and officers of the concerned jail administration on getting unwanted materials in the jails.
