Rajasthan government committed to empowering all sections of society: Bhajan Lal Sharma

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Monday that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has shown the way to the whole world, not only the country. Sharma said that the state government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is engaged with commitment to fulfill the dream of upliftment of the person sitting at the last end.

He said, “Our government has taken far-reaching steps for empowerment of four castes- youth, women, farmers and laborers and all-round development of every region of the state is being ensured.” Sharma was addressing Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations held at Rajasthan International Center on Monday.

He said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has been an incomparable contribution in constitution and made India the largest democratic country in the world by giving the largest constitution.

The Chief Minister said that Dr. Ambedkar, the creator of the Indian Constitution, has shown the path of discriminatory society for the victims, exploited, disadvantaged and neglected people. Sharma said that Babasaheb emphasized education in all sections and made significant contribution in the areas of women empowerment and labor improvement.

He said that the world considers his social philosophy and legal knowledge and also calls him ‘Symbol of Knowledge’. The Chief Minister said that Babasaheb Ambedkar Sambal Yojana is being launched in the villages where more than 50 percent Scheduled Castes have a population, through which the work of infrastructure and development in these villages will be ensured. According to him, a provision of Rs 250 crore has been made for this.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several important decisions to introduce the new generation to Ambedkar’s contribution. He said that the Rajasthan government has added a total of seven lakh new beneficiaries during the tenure of a quarter of a year under the Social Security Pension Scheme and more than 91 lakh people are getting pension in the state today.

The Chief Minister also provided electric wheelchairs to the ‘muscular dystrophy’ victims. He said that under the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Panchtirtha Yatra Yojana, the state government is getting the scheduled caste people visiting the Panchtirtha related to the life of Baba Saheb.

Under the scheme today, the Chief Minister also flagged off the bus with a green flag. Sharma also honored the students who excelled in the field of education. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairava, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Government Chief Whipjogeshwar Garg, various public representatives, concerned officers and large number of citizens were present.
