Sambhal MP Zia Ur Rehman Burke urged people from all communities to maintain peace and harmony before the festival of Jumma and Holi. Keeping in mind the mosques, he appealed to the Hindus to celebrate Holi with enthusiasm and requested the Muslims to offer prayers in the nearby mosques and if they want, they should avoid the areas that celebrate the festival of colors.
Amid the celebration of Holi in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary led the flag march with other police personnel to ensure the law and order situation in the district. Circle Officer Chaudhary said that the police is monitoring the situation through foot patrol and drone surveillance. Posting his appeal on social media yesterday, Rahman wrote, “I request everyone that the holy month of Ramadan Sharif is going on and it is Friday. Holi is also a festival. I request Muslim brothers to offer prayers in the nearest mosque and avoid going to a place where colors are thrown. Celebrate with. ” Rahman emphasized that his call for peace is not for the fear of the police but to promote communal harmony and the progress of the city.
He wrote, “I appeal to both communities not to do anything that hurts someone’s feelings. I am not saying this for fear of police, administration or government, but for mutual brotherhood, peace and progress of city, state and country.” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday appealed to the people to celebrate Holi with harmony while following the centuries -old traditions of Sanatan Dharma. The Chief Minister urged the people who do not forcibly apply color during Holi and also emphasized that the festivals celebrated with mutual respect bring more happiness.
