- For enrollment as an Advocate, a candidate must be a Law Graduate (before joining as a Law Clerk), and must have a degree from any School/College/University established by law in India and recognized by the Bar Council of India. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (including Integrated Degree Course in Law) from the Institute.
- Candidates studying in the fifth year of a five-year integrated law course or in the third year of a three-year law course after graduation in any stream will also be eligible to apply, provided that they are eligible for joining as Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate. Before admission, proof of obtaining legal qualification will have to be presented.
- The candidate should have research and analytical skills, writing ability and computer knowledge, including retrieving desired information from various search engines/processes like e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, Westlaw etc.

- Eligible candidates will have to apply online, the link for which will be made available through the Supreme Court website www.sci.gov.in.
- Applications will be accepted through online registration only, starting from 14.01.2025. Candidates are required to pay application/examination fee of ₹500/- and bank charges (if applicable) through online mode only.
- Fees will not be accepted in any other form. No postal application will be accepted. The fee will be paid online through the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank.
- The written examination in respect of appointment as Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate will be held on 09.03.2025. Part-I examination will be conducted in online mode and question papers for Part-II examination will appear on the computer screen and candidates will have to write answers in pen-paper mode.
- 3 Model Answer Key will be uploaded on the website on 10.03.2025 at 12:00 PM and will be available till 11.03.2025 at 11:59 PM, so that the candidates can raise online objections, if any, related to Part-I multiple choice based questions. Can be invited. For this, candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹ 100/- per question, which will be returned to the candidates if the objection is found valid.
