Mann said that the deceased were from very poor homes, they were almost earning alone and had small children. Life cannot come back with money, but these families were living by adding hands and mouth and they lost their earner. We will give compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the bereaved families. He said that many children are very young, if there is someone in their blood relationship who is eligible to work, then it will lead to their expenses.

At least 17 people died in five villages due to alleged consumption of fake liquor in Amritsar, Punjab. Seven accused have been arrested after this incident. Officials said that due to the consumption of fake liquor, the villages of Bhangali, Patalpuri, Marari Kalan and Therewal have died. Police investigation revealed that ‘methanol’ used to make fake liquor was purchased online in bulk.
