Working rules prepared for Jammu and Kashmir government were sent to LG for approval: Chief Minister

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Thursday that working rules have been prepared for the government and sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval to run smooth rule without any confusion.

Abdullah said in response to a vote of thanks on the Lieutenant Governor’s address in the Assembly, “It is necessary to establish the work rules for clarity until we get the status of the state. It took some time, but at eight o’clock last night we called a cabinet meeting and finalized the work rules. He was approved by the cabinet. ”

He further said that the rules have been sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval. He said, “We hope they will get approval.” He said that the move would reduce confusion, “as long as this system remains in force, it should be operated smoothly without any confusion. Although I consider it temporary, it is better to implement the rules of functioning to reduce confusion. ”

Chief Minister Abdullah had openly criticized the Dual Governance Model in the Union Territory (UT) where he shared power with the Lieutenant Governor and described it as a “recipe of destruction”.

He had said that the ‘hybrid model’ of governance in the Union Territory is not beneficial for anyone and when there is only one center of the command, the systems do better. Congress, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties have criticized double models of governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
