Written report of CID surfaced on the issue of missing samosas of Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Samosa has become a subject of political controversy in Himachal Pradesh. The government and the police have presented their respective sides on the controversy over the samosas ordered for the Chief Minister being served to his staff by mistake at a government function, but the opposition is busy targeting the government over this issue. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu slammed the BJP for its “childish” act of raking up the issue, while the opposition party raised questions over the government’s priorities and said the government has become a “laughing stock” across the country.
What is said in the CID report
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has said that those responsible for not serving the samosa and cake to the right person acted as per their own agenda. The department said it is not investigating the matter. But a written report has been submitted. Let us tell you that when the Chief Minister went to attend a function at the CID headquarters on October 21, samosas and cakes were brought from a hotel located in Lakkar Bazar to serve him. However, according to the investigation report conducted by a Deputy Superintendent of Police level officer, the food items were served to the security personnel due to lack of coordination.

The CID report said an inspector general rank officer had asked a sub-inspector (SI) of police to bring some food items from the hotel for the chief minister’s visit. The sub-inspector in turn instructed an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a head constable to bring food items. The ASI and the head constable brought snacks in three sealed boxes from the hotel and informed the SI. Police officials in their statement said that when they asked the tourism department staff on duty whether the snacks kept in the three compartments were to be served to the Chief Minister, they said that these were not included in the menu. The investigation report said that only the SI, who had assigned the task of bringing snacks from the hotel to the ASI and the head constable, was aware that the three boxes were meant for Sukhu. The lady inspector to whom the food items (samosas and cakes) were handed over, sent the snacks to the Mechanical Transport (MT) section without consulting any senior officer. In this process, three boxes of snacks exchanged hands with many people. A high-ranking official of the CID department has written in his comment that all the persons mentioned in the investigation report have acted in an “anti-CID and government manner”, due to which these items could not be given to VIPs.
opposition attack
Meanwhile, targeting the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Jairam Thakur said that the decisions of the state government have become a topic of discussion in the country because they are taken without thinking. He said that when these decisions become a subject of humor then efforts are made to change them. Thakur asked, “The opposition has not eaten those samosas and those who were served samosas were part of the government, so how can this act be anti-government?” Let us tell you that BJP has protested in Shimla on this issue today. Protested and took out Samosa March. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists organized a ‘Samosa’ march in Shimla to protest against the state government led by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. State president of BJP Yuva Morcha, Tilak Raj Sharma said, “Himachal has become a joke all over the country. Many types of jokes are being written on the state. Himachal should not be made fun of again and again. Never think of imposing toilet tax. There is talk and now a new journey has started on Samosa. He said that the people of Himachal Pradesh are innocent but not stupid, the government should turn its chariot in the direction of development.
