Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that at a time when reports of the ‘alliance’ between George Soros and the Congress leadership and their joint anti-India actions have come to light, the Congress and its friends are worried.
The BJP-led central government on Tuesday hit out at the opposition for serving a no-confidence motion notice against Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, saying the notice is just a distraction tactic by the opposition. The opposition has moved a resolution against Dhankhar, accusing him of bias and ‘biased functioning’. The opposition claimed that he sided with the ruling party during the proceedings of the House and suppressed their voice.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that at a time when reports of the ‘alliance’ between George Soros and the Congress leadership and their joint anti-India actions have come to light, the Congress and its friends are worried. I think the Congress leadership should apologize to the country. The whole country is worried about this matter. He further said that I condemn the action of the 60 MPs who have signed the notice. Be it Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha, the opposition disrespects the dignity of the seat. The Congress Party and its alliance continuously misbehaved by not following the instructions of the Chairman.
Praising the Vice President, he said that Dhankhar ji comes from a simple background. He always talks about the welfare of farmers and people inside and outside the Parliament. He guides us. We respect him. He said that given the notice, NDA has majority and we all have confidence in the Chairman. We are happy with the way he guides the House. On the opposition side, Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Naseer Hussain submitted a notice signed by 60 opposition MPs including Congress, RJD, TMC, CPI, CPI-M, JMM, AAP, DMK, Samajwadi Party to Rajya Sabha General Secretary PC Modi.
