Delhi Police arrested a prominent member of Kapil Sangwan gang

Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a prominent member of the notorious Kapil Sangwan gang. Officials gave this information on Friday. He said that Amardeep alias Amar Lochb (48), a resident of Achandi village of Bawana, was wanted in a murder case in Faridabad and absconding for almost two years.

According to the police, the accused was also wanted under the Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) and the Arms Act. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Amit Kaushik said, “Acting on a secret information, the police saw the accused walking near a canal on Tikri-Jhadoda road in Mundka area on Thursday evening, who was apparently waiting for someone. When the police tried to stop him, he started running away. He was caught after chasing for a while. ”

He said that during the search, the police recovered a semi-automated pistol and three cartridges from him. The official said that Amardeep used to work for the Kapil Sangwan gang.

He said that during interrogation, he admitted his involvement in three criminal cases, one of which included a case of murder of a witness in Faridabad, a case under the Maharashtra organized crime control act (MCOCA) and a case of arms act. He said that he was declared a fugitive in the MCOCA case.

He said, “Amardeep is accused of killing Surajbhan alias Ballu Dinpur in Faridabad on January 30, 2024. His criminal history includes the 2013 fraud case and involvement in the 2020 robbery case in Dwarka. ”Kaushik said that the accused is being questioned for more information about Sangwan gang network, colleagues and arms supply routes.
