Sana was given the command of the team in place of Nida Dar. She is the youngest player to captain Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. The 22-year-old player had captained the team in only one series before the World Cup where Pakistan faced South Africa. She also batted brilliantly here and was the highest run scorer in the series.
Fatima captained the T20 World Cup for the first time against Sri Lanka in Sharjah. His team won this match by 31 runs. Fatima Sana scored 30 runs in 20 balls.
