It was not due to any one person… Mohan Bhagwat’s big statement about the independence of the country

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, while emphasizing the collective nature of India’s freedom struggle, said that the independence of the country was the result of the widespread efforts started from the revolt of 1857, not the achievement of any one person. Addressing a book release ceremony in Nagpur as the chief guest, Bhagwat said that there is always a debate on whose efforts the country got freedom. But the reality is that this freedom was not found due to any one person. Efforts for this started in 1857 and fire erupted everywhere; After that, this fire never calmed down. Efforts continued and we got freedom from the collective efforts of all.

Explaining the importance of collective thought and construction, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the direction of the Sangh is determined by collective thought, the work of the Sangh is not the work of one or two people, whatever the Sangh does and whatever it says is a collective decision. Earlier on 5 June, the RSS chief strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and appreciated the quick and effective response of the Indian Army. He also urged all political forces to maintain the spirit of unity that emerged after this incident.

He said, “There was a barbaric attack in Pahalgam. The terrorists entered our country and killed our citizens. Everyone was unhappy and angry and wanted punishment for criminals. Actually action was taken … In this regard, our army’s ability and bravery once again shone. The effectiveness of research proved to be the effectiveness in defense … We all saw the firmness of the government and administration.” He said that we are also looking at the mutual understanding and mutual cooperation of all political parties, which are forgetting all differences … If it becomes permanent and does not fade as the issues become old and fade, then it will be a big relief for the country. Just as we have forgotten all differences and rivalry in this atmosphere of patriotism, this view of ideal democracy should continue further. This is what we all want.
