Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that during the last 11 years, several initiatives of the BJP -led NDA government have promoted the prosperity of farmers and ensured the change of agriculture, underlining the far -reaching impact of their government’s “pro -peasant” programs.

A day before the first anniversary of his government’s third term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday (June 8, 2025) that the ruling BJP -led National Democratic Alliance has redefined the development of women during its 11 years of tenure. Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the initiatives made during the last 11 years of his tenure have increased the prosperity of farmers and have ensured overall changes in the agriculture sector. He promised that his government’s efforts for the welfare of farmers would continue with more enthusiasm in the coming times.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday a day before the completion of one year of the third term of his government that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has redefined women -led development during its 11 -year tenure. Prime Minister Modi said on ‘X’ that women are excellent in all areas including science, education, sports, startups and armed forces and are becoming inspiration for the people.
He cited many welfare programs and said that women have benefited greatly from them. The Prime Minister said that from ensuring dignity through Swachh Bharat to financial inclusion through public money accounts, focus has been focused on empowering women in various initiatives.

He said that while providing smoke -free kitchen, poor families got gas cylinders through the Ujjwala scheme, the currency loan enabled millions of women entrepreneurs to fulfill their dreams on their own terms. He said that in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses named in the name of women have also made significant impact. Modi said that the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ program raised the flame of a national movement for the safety of the girls. The Prime Minister also shared posts related to the government -run initiatives in which the benefits given to women were listed by government schemes.
These posts say that the maternal death ratio (MMR) on living births (‘Live Births’ in the country (MMR) declined from 167 per lakh in 2011-13 to 93 per lakh 93 and the number of houses receiving water from the tap increased from 3.23 crore in August 2019 to 15.64 crore in May 2025. Highlighting many other welfare steps for women, it was said that more than 10 crore LPG connections were given under the Ujjwala scheme.
The Prime Minister said in the post, “Our mothers and sisters and daughters have also seen the period when they had to face difficulties at every time, but today they are not only participating in the resolve of developed India, but are setting an example in every field from education and business. In the last 11 years, the successes of our women’s power are going to make the countrymen proud.
