Ramesh Bidhuri, who has been MLA from Tughlaqabad Assembly seat of Delhi for three consecutive terms, is a lawyer and former MP of Bharatiya Janata Party. He came into limelight last year for using unparliamentary language against a BSP MP in the Lok Sabha. Bidhuri and her family have been active members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since childhood. He started his political career as an elected central councilor of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and a member of the Executive Council of Delhi University. He served as Member of Parliament twice and Member of Legislative Assembly thrice from the South Delhi constituency.

BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri was born on 18 July 1961 in Delhi. He has obtained B.Com and LLB degrees. He has written lawyer, farmer and social worker as his profession. He served as BJP Delhi State Vice President from 2003 to 2008. After this, in 2008, he was made the General Secretary of BJP Delhi State of Delhi. He was also the MLA of Delhi from 2003 to May 2014. Elected member of Lok Sabha in 2014-2019. Vidhuri has also been a member of the Standing Committee on Urban Development and the Committee on Welfare of Backward Classes.

Ramesh Bidhuri completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University and his law degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. Bidhuri has been active in politics since 1993 and has held positions in several religious and political organizations. In 1996 he worked as the District General Secretary of Mehrauli District and as the State Secretary of Dharma Yatra of the Mahasangh. He also served in the party as District President BJP (1997–2003) and Vice President BJP Delhi Pradesh (2003–2008). Since 2008, he has held the post of General Secretary of BJP Delhi State.
He joined BJP and was MLA from Tughlakabad three times. Bidhuri was declared a candidate by BJP from South Delhi constituency in the 2014 Indian general election and subsequently won the election. He is currently an MP representing South Delhi. In 2019, he defeated Raghav Chadha of Aam Aadmi Party and Vijendra Singh of Indian National Congress in the South Delhi (Lok Sabha constituency) elections by securing more than 54% of the votes.
After winning several Lok Sabha elections, Bidhuri’s wealth increased manifold. He is accused of being involved in several land encroachments, which has increased the valuation of his property to more than Rs 18 crore and has also been issued death threats. During the discussion in Parliament on 21 September 2023, Bidhuri abused Bahujan Samaj Party MP Kunwar Danish Ali, calling him a terrorist. These comments were condemned by MPs and political leaders cutting across party lines. BJP issued him a show cause notice for his comments. However, no action was taken against him by Speaker Om Birla. Bidhuri later expressed regret for her objectionable remarks. In 2015, five women opposition MPs, in a complaint to then Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, had accused Bidhuri, the BJP MP from South Delhi, of ‘disrespectful behaviour’ and using abusive and derogatory language in the House.
BJP MP Ramesh Vidhuri is often in the news due to his controversial statements. Earlier, Bidhuri had given a statement in which she had said that wherever Muslims are in minority, there is talk of human rights and where they come in majority, bloodshed starts.
