In response to the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the tension between India and Pakistan has increased after the Indian Armed Forces have launched the operation vermilion on Wednesday morning by targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK).
Meanwhile, Pakistan opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening with small arms and cannons. The Indian Army has also given a proper answer.
Siren played in Jammu for the second consecutive day, as Pakistan has started shelling in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir including Poonch and Uri. The blasts were heard in Jammu and the city also had a blackout on the second day. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a high -level security meeting with the Chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force amid increasing tension. On Thursday, Pakistan targeted many areas of India including Jammu, Rajasthan and Punjab and carried out several attacks from missiles and drones. India successfully thwarted all the incoming threats.
