A 30-year-old truck driver was allegedly beaten to death by his acquaintance in Vasundhara Sector 13 under Indirapuram police station area of Ghaziabad district. The officials gave this information on Thursday.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as Chalalal Patel, also known as Chavanni. Police said that he was a resident of Gunnore, Madhya Pradesh.
Officials said that after examining the CCTV footage, the police on Thursday detained Ranjit, the owner of the local tea shop for questioning. Assistant Police Commissioner of Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava confirmed that the body was sent for post -mortem on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the post -mortem report revealed two fractures and many other injuries on Patel’s body, indicating a cruel attack. According to police, the incident took place around 10:30 pm on Tuesday night.

Police said that the family of the deceased reached Indirapuram police station on Thursday afternoon and filed a formal complaint against Ranjit. Police said that on the basis of this complaint, the police have registered a case of murder and Ranjit is currently being questioned.
