In a threatening email received by more than 40 schools in Delhi, a demand of $30,000 was made and a bomb blast was threatened if payment was not made. Police said that as a precaution the children have been sent home. Several schools in Delhi received a bomb threat via email on Monday morning, with Delhi Public School in RK Puram and GD Goenka Public School in Paschim Vihar being the first to report about it via email.

The mail received by the schools stated that the bombs were small and very well hidden, adding that they would not cause much damage to the building. News agency ANI quoted Delhi Police as saying that I planted several bombs inside the (school) buildings. The bombs are small and very well hidden. Chief Minister Atishi alleged that the Center has failed in its sole responsibility of providing security to the people of Delhi. He wrote on X that there has never been such a poor law and order situation in Delhi. The BJP led central government has failed in its sole responsibility of providing security to the people of Delhi.
