Atishi, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly and senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Atishi has raised sharp questions on the Modi government’s decision to accept a ceasefire with Pakistan before avenge the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly, Atishi said that the government succumbed to American intervention, exactly when the Indian Army was deciding on terrorists and their supporters.

Atishi asked, “Did we avenge the ‘sindoor’ of the sisters and daughters of the country- or was the business with America considered more valuable than their sacrifice?” He asked why Washington announced the ceasefire, not New Delhi and Pakistan have not yet submitted the criminals of Pahalgam attack. At the digital press conference, AAP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Atishi said, “There was a cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. The terrorists attacked unarmed tourists. The whole country saw the tears of our sisters and daughters. The whole country wanted justice for them.”
He said, “When the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May, the whole country united with our army. The Indian armed forces proved their strength by attacking terrorist camps in Pakistan.” Atishi strongly criticized PM Modi for failing to answer these important national questions and said, “Yesterday Prime Minister Modi had a unilateral conversation with the nation. He said that Pakistan folded hands and he had pity on him, so he agreed to the war. But his statement has raised more questions and the whole country wants to know.

On the statement made by the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly and AAP leader Atishi on the Indo-Pakistan agreement, Delhi’s CM Rekha Gupta said, “It is very easy to say anything while watching TV in a closed air conditioned room … I can take care of 140 crore people and take the right decision. The person who has to do so. Nobody has the right to question the army …”
