VN Das, Ayodhya: After the consecration of Ram Lalla on January 22 in Ayodhya, preparations are being made for the divine birth anniversary of the Lord on the first Ram Navami on Wednesday. To give a grand look to this birth anniversary, the temple was decorated with electric chandeliers. Also the temple has been decorated with flowers and rangoli. Religious rituals have been going on in the temple premises since Navratri. After the symbolic birth of Lord Ramlala at 12 noon on Wednesday, Lord Shri Ram will be anointed with the rays of the sun on his forehead for five minutes at 12:16 pm. Technical arrangements have been made for this. Badhaai and Sohar songs will also be presented on this occasion. On Ram Navami, Ramlala will be dressed in a special Khadi dress decorated with gold and silver work. According to Santosh Kumar, priest of Ramlala temple, 56 dishes will be offered to Lord Shri Ram on Ram Navami.

Ban on all types of vehicles

Entry of all types of vehicles has been banned in Ayodhya from Tuesday to control the crowd arriving for darshan. Now the main gate of Ram temple can be reached only on foot. The temple trust and administration estimate that this year more than 40 lakh people can reach the Ram Navami fair.
