🔎 Overview
This is a centralised notification for engagement of Act Apprentice under the Apprentice Act, 1961 across East Central Railway divisions/units. RRC/ECR (Hajipur H.Q.) will collect ONLINE applications, prepare division/unit-wise merit lists and forward them for Document Verification and training slot allotment. 🎓 Eligibility & Age
- Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation (10th) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks AND ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the notified trade (National Trade Certificate / Provisional NCVT certificate accepted).
- Age: Candidate must have completed 15 years and must not have completed 24 years as on 25-10-2025. Relaxations as per notification (SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwBD varying +10/13/15 yrs, Ex-servicemen as per rules).
- Other: Ensure trade in ITI matches the notified trade slot for the chosen Division/Unit. Multiple/duplicate applications are not permitted.
📝 Selection / Merit
Selection is merit-based (division/unit-wise). Merit is calculated by giving equal weightage to Matriculation (10th) marks and ITI marks — average percentage of both is used to prepare the division/unit merit list. Ties are resolved by age (older candidate preferred) and then earlier matriculation pass date. Final engagement subject to document verification and medical fitness.
