UP Scholarship 2025–26 – Apply for Pre‑Matric, Post‑Matric & Dashmottar

The Uttar Pradesh government has opened the UP Scholarship 2025–26 registrations from 2 July 2025. Students can apply under three categories: Pre Matric (9–10), Post Matric (11–12 & other UG/PG), and Dashmottar. The application window runs till mid‑December 2025 for multiple schemes 1.

📚 Eligibility & Income Criteria

• ▶️ Residency: Must be a UP domicile and studying in UP schools/colleges 2.
• ▶️ Pre-Matric (Class 9–10): Minimum 8th pass, family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (Gen/SC/ST), ≤ ₹2 lakh (OBC)
• ▶️ Post-Matric (Class 11–12): Family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (Gen/SC/ST), ≤ ₹2 lakh (OBC)
• ▶️ Dashmottar (UG/PG/Professional): Graduation onwards; same income norms
• ▶️ Minority students (non-UP residents) eligible under “Post-Matric Outside State” 3.

• Aadhaar Card, Domicile Certificate
• Last year’s Marksheet/Pass Certificate
• Caste & Income Certificate
• Bank Passbook (with IFSC/Aadhaar linkage)
• Enrollment No., Fee Receipt
• Passport-sized Photo

💰 Scholarship Amount

UP Scholarship award amounts vary by level and category. For example, Pre-Matric Gen/OBC students receive ₹150/month + ₹750 lump sum (~₹3,000 annually); SC/ST receive ₹225+₹750 (~₹3,500). Post-Matric/Dashmottar payments range from ₹230 to ₹1,200/month depending on course and category 4.

📝 How to Apply

1. Visit scholarship.up.gov.in
2. Under “Student” → select Fresh or Renewal ➜ Scheme category
3. Register (or login), fill personal, academic, banking details
4. Upload supporting documents (PDF/JPEG per format)
5. Print the form; submit hard copy with documents to your school/college
6. Login again for verification & track status

✅ Check Application & Fund Status

• Visit portal, click “Status”, enter Reg. No + DOB + Captcha 5
• Alternatively, use PFMS site (“Know Your Payments”) with bank details & OTP 6
